Request a New Subaward Organization

The preferred way to request a new Sponsor, new Address Book Entry/Non-MIT Employee, or new Subaward Organization is to create a ticket in RAS Service Tracker (OST: https://ost.mit.edu/).

In OST, simply click “Create”, enter a Subject title for the request, and select the request “Type “ (New Sponsor, Address Book, or Subaward Organization).

Enter the requested contact information in the text box and hit “Submit” to forward your request to the Post-award Operations team for processing.

Most requests will be processed within 24 hours. Contact your RAS Contract Administrator if you need expedited handling. If your Department does not use OST, you may also submit the request through the web form on this page.

All subaward organizations are required to complete the Subrecipient Profile Questionnaire. Please direct questions regarding the form or subrecipient requirements in general to subawards@mit.edu.

Valid MIT email addresses only.

The Unique Entity Identifier is a 12-character unique code assigned to all entities (public and private companies, individuals, institutions, or organizations) who must register in SAM.gov to do business with the federal government in SAM. As of 4/04/2022 it replaces the use of DUNS on all federal websites.
A DUNS number is a unique nine-digit number used to identify an organization. Until 4/04/2022, the federal government used the DUNS number to track how federal money is allocated.
