Kuali Coeus Upgrade Release Notes for May 8, 2020

The Kuali Coeus system was upgraded on Friday, May 8, 2020. This system upgrade included updates to support updated Grants.gov form expiration dates and the new NIH Forms, identified as F packages for System to System (S2S) proposals.

Changes in this upgrade include:

Proposal Development Module

Notifications History – this is a new selection located in the left hand navigation in a proposal.  When selected,  a window opens with the list of KC email notifications sent in relation to this proposal, including the email message and the name of the recipient(s) to receive the message.

S2S Proposals, expiration date updates to Grants.gov forms – when print/previewing the  S2S forms in Proposal Development, many form expiration dates have been revised with their new OMB expiration date.

S2S NIH proposals, Forms F – when linking S2S in Proposal Development for NIH proposals, Forms F packages are being made available by the sponsor with new postings, or with a Competition ID added for you to choose either Forms E or Forms F, as appropriate until May 25th.  For detailed information on Forms F changes, please visit RAS web page NIH Upgrading Forms to Forms-F

In addition, the next virtual RAP session on May 15th at 10am entitled “NIH Proposal Resources and Updates" will address many of the Forms F changes. Registration for this RAP session is through the Atlas Learning Center here: Register for NIH Proposal Resources and Updates.

New features and changes will be highlighted by the RA Support team in the weekly Drop-in Zoom Sessions. See the Zoom Virtual Drop-In schedule for dates and links.

Other Modules

"Special Reviews" module name is changing to "Compliance" – currently, in Proposal Development, Special Reviews are entered under the “Compliance” section in the left hand module. This update changes will change the “Special Reviews” name to “Compliance” for uniformity across KC modules.
